Stay healthy with our services.

Donating blood is easy and rewarding since it’s painless and quick. Millions of Americans need blood transfusions yearly for various reasons, including surgery, an accident, or an illness that necessitates using blood components. Whole blood, platelet, plasma, and automated red cell donation are just a few of the ways to give life-saving blood products. In most cases, the procedure takes between 45 and 60 minutes to complete.

Prolong your
life by paying attention now.

Donation Frequency

Getting vaccinated now is easier than ever

Up to six times a year, you may give your full blood in one donation cycle of 56 days.

Automated red cells (Alyx): You may give automated red cells provided you fulfill certain height and weight standards. Every 112 days, or three times a year, an automated red cell donor may provide their blood. Because a single automated donation provides enough red cells for two patient transfusions, these donors (often known as double red cell donors) can save two people’s lives.

Platelets: You may give up to 24 times a year, but you must be at least 18 years old.

Every 28 days, you have the option to give plasma.

Your eligibility to donate may be affected by donating several blood components. Make sure to get in touch with us to find out when you’ll be eligible again. Go to Types of Donations for additional information on the many lifesaving blood components donors may donate.

4-Step Process

To begin, you’ll need to provide basic personal information like your name, birth date, and email address. There are questions about your medical history, prescription use, and recent travel that you must answer. You must also provide your Donor ID Card or a picture ID.

Your vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, will be taken by one of our technicians next. The hematocrit level will be determined by analyzing a drop of blood from your finger. When all donor conditions have been met, you’re ready to be placed in a donor bed.

The final step is a blood draw by a member of the staff who has received specialized training. A complete blood donation takes between 10 and 12 minutes to complete. Donating blood will take roughly an hour of your time. Procedures involving plasma, platelets, and automated red blood cells will need more time. Within 24 hours, your blood volume, or plasma, is replaced, whereas red blood cells are replaced in around four to eight weeks.

In our refreshment room, you may unwind with a beverage and a snack after your gift. After 10-15 minutes, we recommend you return to your daily activities. Lifting, pushing, or indulging in strenuous activity is not recommended for 4 to 5 hours after your donation.

The blood of a donor undergoes a series of tests that may help doctors diagnose and treat a variety of ailments.

Donors with higher-than-recommended blood pressure levels get a notification and specific instructions for medical follow-up.

Low hematocrit levels are communicated to donors, and follow-up information is given to those with them.
